According to data from the International Tea Committee, global tea production has reached approximately 7.05 million tons. Remarkably, China accounts for nearly half of this total, producing 3.74 million tons.
Beyond China, India remains a major player in the market with 1.28 million tons produced. Kenya follows in third place, contributing roughly 0.6 million tons.
The top five is rounded out by Turkey (0.27 million ton) and Sri Lanka (0.26 million ton). Other leading producers highlighted in the report include Vietnam, Indonesia, and Japan.
