“Tesla” plans to scale back its electric vehicle (EV) lineup and prioritize the development of humanoid robots, according to a report by “The Insider”.
This strategic pivot comes as the company faces its first-ever decline in annual revenue. In January, China’s “BYD” surpassed “Tesla” to become the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer, intensifying the pressure on the American company.
“Tesla” CEO Elon Musk has previously stated that the company’s humanoid robot project, known as “Optimus”, could eventually become more valuable and significant than its automotive business.
