Abu Dhabi hosted the 2026 Zayed Award for Human Fraternity ceremony, bringing together global leaders and dignitaries. The event opened with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by a video presentation highlighting the award’s mission and legacy.
Mohammed Abdel Salam, Secretary‑General of the Muslim Council of Elders, addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of promoting peace, coexistence, and humanitarian values worldwide.
The ceremony featured video messages from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye, President Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan, President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan, President Joseph Aoun of Lebanon, Türkiye’s First Lady Emine Erdoğan, and King Abdullah II of Jordan.
In his message, President Erdoğan stated:
“I warmly congratulate President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia. The courageous steps taken by Aliyev and the firm political will shown by Pashinyan are crucial for lasting peace in the Caucasus.”

He added that the agreement reached between the two sides could open a new chapter for the region’s future, reaffirming Türkiye’s commitment to supporting peace and stability.
The ceremony underscored the global significance of initiatives that foster dialogue, reconciliation, and human fraternity.
