The Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, with the support of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, organizes two International Olympiads and a scientific and practical conference.
Open International Internet Olympiads in Macroeconomics and World Economy are held among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and abroad. Each university is invited to send four students to participate, regardless of their field of study.
The Macroeconomics Olympiad will take place at the university on April 12, and the registration for participants has concluded on March 25.
The World Economy Olympiad will be held on May 16. The deadline for applications to participate is April 25. Those who wish to participate in the Olympiad need to send their information via email to tsiem.olymp@gmail.com and yazgeldi73@gmail.com. Both Olympiads will be conducted as individual competitions. Participants of each Olympiad will be given 10 tasks to solve, and they will have 120 minutes (2 hours) to complete them.
The jury of the Olympiads will include representatives of scientific and educational institutions and university professors of participating countries. The winners will be determined based on the number of points gained and will be awarded diplomas of corresponding degrees. Participants who successfully complete six tasks but do not qualify as winners will be awarded Certificates of Honor.
On April 26, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Trends of the Development of Financial Markets” will be held in an online format at the Institute of Economics and Management in the capital. Representatives of scientific and educational circles of Turkmenistan and foreign countries are invited to participate.
The International Scientific and Practical Conference will cover three main areas:
Section I: Financial Markets and Sustainable Economic Development.
Section II: The Role of Banks in the Development of Financial Market.
Section III: Financial Markets and Investment Activity.
Candidates interested in participating in the conference are required to submit their presentation abstracts to the organizing committee via email at tsiem.conference@gmail.com by April 10.
The working languages of all upcoming international events are Turkmen, Russian and English.
