Cristiano Ronaldo is considered a one-man show but football is a team sport and even a player like him counts on his other 10 teammates, which are likely his backbone.
Notably, this support is not present amongst his Al Nassr mates, who are now under surveillance for consistently exposing the Portuguese player to offside traps because of their habit of playing the ball “late”, according to Essentially Sports.
Surprisingly, after Ronaldo moved to the Riyadh club, there may not be a single game, during which he hasn’t been ruled offside.
Interestingly, popular Saudi Arabian analyst Imad Al-Salmi had a reason why it has become a consistent event.
In a video shared by an X account @isat_td, Al-Salmi said: “The local players play the ball late & that’s why Ronaldo is always offside, meanwhile Otavio is fast to pass the ball & Ronaldo gets it at the right time.”
When setting up Ronaldo, it seems as though all the Knights of Najd stars are slow in their decision-making process except for Otavio.
Perhaps other Al Nassr players will deliver sufficiently to their skipper with the help of quick thinking and the ability to move the ball faster.
