On November 26, Sergei Pristavko, Head of the Freight Operations and Foreign Economic Activities Department of the Belarusian Railway, spoke at the forum “International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development” (ITTC-2024) in Ashgabat. The foreign guest discussed the prospects of exporting Belarusian products through Turkmenistan.
Sergei Pristavko noted that cooperation with Turkmenistan opens up new opportunities for Belarusian business and increases export volumes. New transport corridors passing through the republic will connect Belarus with other countries in Central Asia, the Persian Gulf, and South Asia.
The representative of the friendly country emphasized that utilizing Turkmenistan’s transport and logistics potential will help reduce travel time and transportation costs. According to Sergei Pristavko, this cooperation will have a positive impact on the economy not only of Belarus but also of all countries in the region.
