On November 27, Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Gwi-Yeop Son, the Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia at the United Nations Development Coordination Office (UNDCO). This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties highly appreciated the results of the long-term strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN on priority areas. Special attention was paid by the meeting participants to strengthening cooperation in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and national programs for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the republic.
In addition, the interlocutors noted that the foreign policy initiatives put forward by the republic to achieve the SDGs and address relevant regional issues are regularly supported by the United Nations and several international structures.
