On November 27, at the conclusion of the III Turkmen-Chinese Scientific and Innovation Forum in Ashgabat, a number of important documents were signed aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of science and technology, reports the online newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age.”
During the forum, which was held at the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, experts from both countries discussed a wide range of issues, including chemical and technological innovations, processing of natural raw materials, nanotechnology, biotechnology, agriculture, seismology, and many others.
One of the key outcomes of the forum was the signing of the Protocol of the 2nd meeting of the Subcommittee on Scientific and Technical Cooperation of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee for Cooperation. This document confirms the intentions of the parties to develop scientific cooperation based on a number of bilateral agreements.
In particular, memorandums of understanding were signed between leading scientific institutions of the two countries, which provide for the creation of joint research centers, the exchange of scientists and students, and the implementation of joint scientific projects.

Memorandum of Understanding between the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the International Center for Scientific and Technical Exchange of Hubei Province of the People’s Republic of China on the creation of the Turkmen-Chinese Center for Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
Memorandum of Understanding between the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and Tianjin University of Science and Technology of China.
Memorandum of Understanding between the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Agreement on Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Seismology of the China Earthquake Administration.
The signed documents open new prospects for the development of scientific and technical cooperation between Turkmenistan and China and contribute to the introduction of innovative technologies in various sectors of the economy of both countries.
