On January 21, 2025, the IV qualifying game of the IV season of the intellectual competition “Young Ambassadors of Peace” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The competition is organized by the higher educational institution and the School of Young Diplomats under it.
The competition is held under the slogan “Peacebuilding Diplomacy of Neutral Turkmenistan: A Reliable Tool for Effective Cooperation and Sustainable Development” in connection with the declaration of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” by the initiative of Turkmenistan and based on the UN General Assembly Resolution. The IV game of the season was dedicated to the theme “Cultural Diplomacy of Turkmenistan: The Unifying Power of National and Universal Heritage in Action.”
Students of grades 11-12 from secondary schools in Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as from the Balkan, Mary, Dashoguz, and Lebap regions, participated in the game. The jury included Perhat Charyyev, Senior Lecturer of the Department of International Economic Relations of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Begench Garayev, Senior Lecturer of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, and Guljeren Garayeva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture.
As a result of the intense game, Gulshat Meredova, a 12th-grade student of the specialized secondary school No. 90 with in-depth study of foreign languages in Ashgabat, and Jemal Hallyyeva, an 11th-grade student of the specialized secondary school No. 4 with in-depth study of English in Arkadag, were declared winners. These students joined the semi-finalists of the IV season.
Winners and all participants of the game were awarded Certificates of Honor from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and gifts from the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and the National Archery Federation of Turkmenistan. The IV game will be broadcast on the national TV channel “Miras” in the coming days.
