In China, the price of the RTX 5090 could reach $4000, which is twice the recommended price of $1999. The RTX 5080 is being sold for $2000 instead of $999.
In Europe, the situation is exacerbated by taxes, which further increase prices. In the US, retailers report that the number of cards is extremely limited: only 20 units of the RTX 5080 were received in the first wave of supplies, and the RTX 5090 is completely absent.
The shortage may continue until the end of spring 2025, making the new graphics cards unavailable to most buyers.
