Trump denied reports that his administration had already decided to transfer control of TikTok to Oracle, stating that he had not spoken with Oracle founder Larry Ellison on the matter.
He also suggested that the USA could benefit significantly from any deal with TikTok.
Trump’s comments came amid growing American “concerns” about TikTok’s ownership by the Chinese company ByteDance. The decision will determine whether TikTok will continue to operate in its current form (or may simply be banned) or will be sold to an American company.
