TURKMEN ATHLETES WON 23 MEDALS AT THE INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT KARATE UZBEKISTAN OPEN 2024

Turkmen athletes won 23 medals at the first International Tournament Karate WKF UZBEKISTAN OPEN 2024 in Urgench. 

The competition involved 293 karatekas from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, who competed in various age categories in kata and kumite. 

At the end of all the programs Turkmen karatekas earned 5 gold, 5 silver and 13 bronze medals. 

The Turkmenistan national team, represented by 74 athletes, took third place in the medal standings among 13 teams with awards. The top two spots were taken by teams from Kashkadarya region (9 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals) and Tashkent region (6 gold, 5 silver, and 10 bronze medals). 

Turkmen karatekas were coached by the national team coaches Aydyn Charyyev and Igor Rakhimov in preparation for the International Tournament UZBEKISTAN OPEN 2024.
