On June 6, 2024, a meeting was held in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan between the delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq and the representatives of the Mejlis.
During the meeting, opinions were shared on the main directions of the internal and foreign policy of Permanent Neutral Turkmenistan, the importance of the initiatives being promoted within the framework of the United Nations.
During the meeting, the guest emphasized the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in developing friendly relations between the two countries.
The parties expressed their readiness to support intergovernmental cooperation through parliamentary diplomacy, strengthen the legal foundations of these relations as well as exchange experience in parliamentary and legislative work.
