Announced alongside the Mate 70 and Mate X6 series, this technology allows users to literally “grab” content with a hand gesture and “release” it over another device.
Currently, the feature supports the transfer of images and screenshots, though users hope that in the future the list will expand to include documents and other types of files.
However, for large files such as high-resolution videos, there may be limitations in speed and convenience.
The feature is available only on the Mate 70, Mate X6, and MatePad Pro 12.3 tablet, but if it proves popular, other Android manufacturers might adopt it.
This innovation complements the already powerful features of the Mate 70 Pro Plus: a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED screen, 3D face scanner, 5700 mAh battery with fast charging (100W wired, 80W wireless), and water and dust resistance to IP68/IP69 standards.
The cameras include a 50-megapixel main module with variable aperture, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom.
The Mate X6, a foldable counterpart to the Galaxy Z Fold, is also impressive: a 7.93-inch display, 5110 mAh battery, and similar cameras.
