On November 25, a solemn reception was held in Beijing to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the presentation of a new edition of selected poems by Magtymguly Pyragy, translated into Chinese. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, Parakhat Durdyev, informed the guests about the philosophy of the great poet and thinker of the East, and the influence of his work on the development of Turkmenistan. Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Liu Bin, also addressed the participants. He congratulated the Turkmen people on the 33rd anniversary of independence and the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy.
During the event, videos about Turkmenistan were shown. Attendees sampled traditional Turkmen dishes. Then, there was a ceremony to present the book of Magtymguly Pyragy in Chinese. Additionally, guests were given gift sets with the symbolism of the year “The Treasury of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy,” as well as confectionery products from Turkmen producers.
