On November 28, in Ashgabat, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held a meeting with OSCE Coordinator for Economic and Environmental Activities Bakyt Jusupov. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation with the OSCE, particularly the possibilities of creating new forms of interaction in key areas such as transport connectivity, energy, and environmental security.
The interlocutors also highlighted the importance of the second Ashgabat conference “Parliamentary Diplomacy in the OSCE Area: Dialogue as a Tool for Establishing Cooperation for a Prosperous and Peaceful Future” in strengthening regional dialogue, promoting a comprehensive approach to ensuring security, and achieving lasting and sustainable peace.
Additionally, Byashimova and Jusupov expressed satisfaction with the long-standing fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and the OSCE within the framework of the second economic and environmental dimension of the organization’s activities. They noted the importance of the projects and programs being implemented in these areas.
