Turkmen athletes won nine medals of various merits at the 22nd World Belt Wrestling Championship among men and women, which concluded in Kazan. This was reported by the electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age.”
In freestyle wrestling, gold medals were won by Abdyresul Durdiyev (weight category up to 62 kg), Annagurban Allaberdiyev (weight category up to 90 kg), and Palvan Gurbangeldiyev (weight category up to 100 kg). Bronze medals were awarded to Ashirmurat Amandurdyev (weight category up to 57 kg), Mekan Nurberdiev (weight category up to 68 kg), Azymmuhammet Orazmuhammedov (weight category up to 75 kg), and Nobatgeldi Nazarov (weight category up to 100 kg).
In the classic style, the silver medal was won by Nurmuhammet Baydogdyev (weight category over 100 kg), and the bronze medal was awarded to Davut Nazarov (weight category over 100 kg).
