In the city of Tejen, Ahal Province, Turkmenistan, a charitable New Year’s performance was held for orphans under the care of close relatives, as well as children requiring special attention. The event was organized by the regional department of culture, the trade union association, and the administration of the Tejen district.
The children participated in entertaining scenes around the Christmas tree, danced in circles with Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, and sang songs in Turkmen, Russian, English, Kazakh, and Uzbek. Young artists from the children’s art school performed a New Year’s play based on Turkmen fairy tales. The children received gifts from the regional trade union association, as well as shoes, winter clothing, and other necessities from local administrations.
The organizers noted that in Turkmenistan, all children, including orphans, are surrounded by paternal care thanks to the policies of the country’s leadership.
