On December 22, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a message of condolences to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier regarding the tragic incident at the New Year’s fair in the city of Magdeburg, which resulted in casualties and injuries.
On behalf of the people, the government, and himself, the head of state expressed sincere sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
It should be noted that on the evening of December 21, an attack on visitors to the Christmas market in Magdeburg resulted in the deaths of five people and injuries to more than 200 others.
