President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid his first official visit to Malaysia from December 18 to 19 at the invitation of Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim. The parties announced their readiness to establish a joint business council.
The leaders of the two states believe that economic partnership between the countries has great prospects. In this regard, to realize the full potential in this direction, the parties expressed their readiness to develop it on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Dato Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim also spoke in favor of expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of transport, culture, education, tourism, and sports. In their opinion, this will have a positive impact on strengthening relations between Turkmenistan and Malaysia.
