Nurmuhemmet Shikhliyev, Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan, visited the Polytechnic University of Bucharest during a working visit to Romania. This was reported by the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age.”
Horia Necula, Vice-Rector of the Polytechnic University, provided detailed information about the history, structure, academic, and international activities of the Romanian university and expressed interest in establishing long-term cooperation with the Turkmen university.
Following the meeting, the parties planned to explore the possibilities of developing a dual degree program project under the “1+1” system in the field of computer technology and to intensify work in other areas of mutual interest.
Additionally, Nurmuhemmet Shikhliyev visited the Oil and Gas University of Ploiești. The rector of the Romanian university, Alin Dinica, expressed interest in developing cooperation and identified the following areas for collaboration: academic education, research and science, student and faculty exchange, and the “Erasmus+” program.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to explore the possibilities of intensifying bilateral contacts, including through the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two universities, as well as organizing joint events, conferences, and exchanging online lectures on topics of interest.
