On December 12, a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Moscow, where Turkmenistan was represented by Nazarguly Shaguliyev, the Permanent Representative to the statutory and other bodies of this organization. Following the event, the parties signed a number of documents, including the Plan of Priority Actions in the field of Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States for 2025–2026.
The document is intended to coordinate and develop multilateral cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, information and mass communications, book publishing, book distribution and printing, in the areas of sports and healthy lifestyles, tourism, and work with youth.
The topics of the events were developed taking into account the decision of the leaders of the Commonwealth states to declare 2025 the Year of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War – the Year of Peace and Unity in the fight against Nazism, and 2026 – the Year of Health Protection.
