According to StatCounter data, Windows 11 reached its peak at 28.16% in February 2024, but by April its share had decreased, and this trend continued in November.
At the same time, Windows 10, despite the cessation of functional updates and the approaching end of support in October 2025, remains the leader.
In January 2024, its share was 66.47%. Although there was a slight decline afterward, in November 2024, it began to grow again.
Experts attribute the decline in Windows 11’s popularity to its high system requirements, which make it difficult for users with outdated hardware to upgrade.
Additionally, Microsoft’s aggressive marketing to promote the new OS may have had the opposite effect, reducing user interest.
