Among the main innovations is the activation of U1 chips for iPhones in Russia. Previously, this module was disabled, but with the update, it became available for use.
The U1 chip allows for precise device location through “Find My” and data transfer between iPhones via UWB.
iOS 18.3 also added Visual Intelligence capabilities: iPhone 16 can now recognize plants and animals, and add events from photos and posters to the “Calendar.”
The notification system has been updated, Siri’s performance improved, and bugs in Apple Music and the calculator have been fixed.
Apple continues to enhance the functionality of its devices, adding not only useful features but also restoring previously unavailable technologies, as in the case of the U1 chips.
