When the Identity Check feature is enabled, biometric verification will be required for actions such as:
- Accessing saved passwords in Google Password Manager
- Changing screen lock settings (PIN, pattern, password)
- Performing a factory reset
- Disabling anti-theft features or the “Find My Device” function
- Adding/removing a Google account
- Accessing developer options
The feature aims to enhance Google account security by preventing unauthorized users from making changes or accessing private information. Currently, Identity Check is available on Google Pixel phones running Android 15 and some Samsung Galaxy devices with One UI 7.
