A delegation from Westminster University, led by Vice-Chancellor Andrew Linn, is visiting Turkmenistan from January 19 to 25. Representatives of the British university have already conducted training sessions for teachers and students of the International University for the Humanities and Development, Magtymguly Turkmen State University, and Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen Ministry of Education.
The training topics covered issues such as modern pedagogy, teaching English, and developing educational materials. In particular, participants were introduced to methodologically effective and technologically advanced practices.
Additionally, current trends in teaching foreign languages, including English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English for “complex texts” (EFL), were discussed.
