Data, including the user’s device, browser, and IP address, was transmitted through Amazon Web Services and ended up on Meta Platforms’ servers in the USA without “adequate safeguards,” violating GDPR rules.
The court ruled that the EU does not comply with privacy rules, and a fine of 400 euros was awarded to the person who filed the lawsuit.
