Now buyers are left without the remote control functions they have been using since 2018, starting with the Galaxy Note 9. However, it turned out that Samsung did create an S Pen with Bluetooth, but sells it separately.
The press release on the company’s website directly states: “The S Pen with Bluetooth support (now sold separately) acts as a remote control in some applications, helping to maximize productivity.”
This means that the special coil for charging the Bluetooth version of the stylus is still built into the smartphone, and its cost is included in the price of the device. However, most users will not know about this or will not want to buy an additional accessory.
Thus, Samsung has deprived buyers of a familiar function, turning it into an option for an additional fee. This decision has already caused criticism among brand fans.
