On January 14, during a phone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, UN Secretary-General António Guterres emphasized the relevance of all initiatives currently put forward by Turkmenistan on the international stage. This was reported by the electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age.”
The head of the international organization noted the special significance of the UN’s cooperation with Turkmenistan, which advocates for strengthening peace at regional and global levels. Guterres also highly appreciated the policies pursued by the republic and its initiatives for universal peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.
The UN Secretary-General confirmed support for Ashgabat’s activities in these aforementioned areas, implemented based on the principles of neutrality and peacefulness.
