The PowerSchool system, used by 18,000 clients worldwide, manages records of over 60 million students and teachers.
The company stated that the attackers gained access to two tables in its database containing contact information such as names and addresses. In some cases, the data also included social security numbers, other personal information, as well as “limited” medical and academic records.
This did not affect all clients, but those affected will be notified.
