On January 21, 2025, a Round Table on “Presentation of Updated Project Concepts on Climate Change Adaptation for the Green Climate Fund” was held at the UN building in Ashgabat as part of the UNDP project “Development of the National Adaptation Planning Process in Turkmenistan.” International experts, UNDP consultants Nikolai Denisov and Viktor Novikov, participated. Representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture (State Veterinary Service), Environmental Protection, Health and Medical Industry, and the Water Committee, as well as representatives from the Turkmenistan Agency “Turkmenhovaellary,” attended the round table.
Arslan Soltanmyradov, head of the international department of the State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, participated in the round table.
During the meeting, international experts presented the final version of the project concept “Climate Services for All,” as well as the project concept on ecosystems and nature-based adaptation measures. Further steps to be implemented within the project were discussed.
