On March 26, 2025, a meeting has held between the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Ms. D. Gulmanova, and the Country Director for Turkmenistan of the United Nations Population Fund, Ms. Chinwe Ogbonna.
The Chairperson of the Mejlis congratulated the guest on her appointment to this position and wished her great success in her future work and in strengthening cooperative relations.
The guest briefed on the main directions of the domestic and peace-loving foreign policy of Independent, Permanent Neutral Turkmenistan, as well as the work of the Turkmen Parliament.
During the meeting, noted with satisfaction, together with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), has successfully implementing comprehensive work to protect maternal and child health, support families and youth, and ensure gender equality in Turkmenistan and discussed future joint activities.
The importance of the continuous improvement of the legislative framework for the work carried out in this area in the country has also emphasized.
