How Citizens of Turkmenistan Can Obtain a Visa to the Republic of Azerbaijan

Citizens of Turkmenistan are required to obtain a visa in order to visit the Republic of Azerbaijan. There are two main methods of applying for a visa:

Through the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan:

Citizens of Turkmenistan can apply for a visa to the Republic of Azerbaijan through the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ashgabat. Electronic Visa (e-Visa):

Citizens of Turkmenistan are able to apply for an electronic visa e-Visa to the Republic of Azerbaijan through the official e-Visa portal.  The application process can be completed by visiting the ASAN Visa Portal: https://evisa.gov.az

Registration After Arrival:

All visitors who intend to stay in the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than 15 days are required to register with the State Migration Service. The registration must be done at the place of residence within 15 days of arrival in the country. This registration is recorded electronically and is accessible through the electronic services section on the official website of the State Migration Service or directly at regional migration offices or ASAN Service centers.

This registration is mandatory even if a person has a valid e-visa. No government fee is charged for the registration of foreign nationals and stateless individuals at their place of residence. Hotels may provide this service, but however must request it in advance from hotel staff. Additionally visitors staying in apartments or private residences will need to register by independently.
