Journalists conducted an APK teardown—a code analysis of the application to find unreleased features. They discovered that users will be able to select a second language for interaction with Gemini, making it more convenient for those who speak multiple languages.
Currently, Gemini Live—its live AI conversation mode—already supports more than 40 languages, but switching between them has to be done manually in settings. The new feature will allow simultaneous communication in, for example, English and Spanish, without extra steps. This is particularly useful for multilingual individuals or those learning a new language and wishing to practice. App settings already include the option to select a second language from the list, although it is not yet fully functional—the release is expected later.
