Apple announced on its blog, along with multiple insider sources, the release of OS updates for various platforms: iOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, iPadOS 18.4, visionOS 2.4, and tvOS 18.4. Specifically, the iOS 18.4 update for iPhones introduces new features and addresses 60 critical vulnerabilities.
The update includes support for seven new emojis, a “smart” Priority Notifications AI feature to sort notifications by importance, as well as Visual Intelligence search for iPhone 15 Pro—a feature that recognizes objects using the camera. Additionally, the Vision Pro app is now available for iPhones to control mixed-reality headsets.
The Control Point feature was also improved with the addition of Atmospheric Music, offering various modes for sleep, relaxation, productivity, and comfort. The update further enhances Apple Intelligence, now supporting new languages such as French, German, and Japanese.
