Azerbaijani athletes won one silver and two bronze medals at an international belt wrestling tournament of category “A,” held in Ashgabat. This was reported by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkmenistan on Monday.
Representing Azerbaijan, Ariz Guseynov took third place in the koresh wrestling competition in the 68 kg weight category. He also competed in the alish style in the 70 kg category and finished second this time. Fidan Guseynova (60), competing in the alish style, won a bronze medal as well.
The tournament featured more than 170 athletes from 14 countries.
