Our colleagues at GSMArena compared two new mid-range Samsung smartphones — Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56.
Both devices look similar: they feature 6.7-inch AMOLED displays with a 120 Hz refresh rate and the same resolution, with bodies almost identical in size and weight. But there are differences.
The Galaxy A36 turned out to be slightly brighter in sunlight and showed better battery life in gaming. It also offers the same software capabilities as the A56, including One UI 6.1 on Android 14, but costs less. Additionally, the model is available in more color options.
The Galaxy A56 excels in performance — its chipset is noticeably more powerful. Its camera quality, especially at night, is better, and it lasts slightly longer in everyday usage. The premium quality of its body is also highlighted.
According to GSMArena, the Galaxy A56 is a more balanced choice if the camera, design, and future-proof performance are important. However, the Galaxy A36 is an excellent alternative for those looking to save without major compromises.
