In the Mejlis of Turkmenistan the Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia presented his credentials

On April 28, 2025, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan,D.Gulmanova accepted credentials from the appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia to Turkmenistan Hector Isidro Arenas Naira.

On behalf of the Head of state, the Chairperson of the National Parliament congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high diplomatic post and wished him great success in strengthening the established relations of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Colombia.

The diplomat was introduced to the main directions of the internal and peaceful foreign policy of independent, permanent neutral Turkmenistan, as well as to the activities of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

The parties noted the effectiveness of cooperation within the framework of international organizations and expressed their readiness to continue to provide mutual support to initiatives promoted within the framework of the UN.

During the meeting, the sides noted with satisfaction the existence of enormous opportunities for exchanging experience in improving national legislation and parliamentary activities, becoming familiar with the potential for cooperation between two countries, strengthening friendly relations between the peoples.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia to Turkmenistan assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen interstate cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.
