At an event in China, the company showcased new slides emphasizing energy efficiency and gaming capabilities.
Core Ultra 9 275HX, for example, turned out to be 8% faster than the i9-14900HX in Counter-Strike 2 with the same 125W TDP. Overall, Intel claims a 10% increase in single-threaded tasks and a 19% improvement in multi-threaded tasks compared to the previous generation.
An AI assistant for gaming was also announced, utilizing the built-in NPU in the processor. Players will be able to learn boss battle tactics and receive tips via voice or text—completely offline, without cloud connectivity. Essentially, it’s similar to NVIDIA G-Assist but focuses on autonomy and speed.
According to Intel representatives, the new processors offer up to 40% better energy efficiency. The Arrow Lake processors are expected to become the foundation of many gaming and work laptops in the second half of 2025.
