Representing Turkmenistan were three students: Dursunjemal Atayeva, Ayna Yazjumayeva, and Mahriban Azadova, who performed successfully in both individual and team competitions.
In the individual competition, Ayna and Dursunjemal secured third place. Based on the overall results, the team of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan took third place. The Olympiad saw participation from over 110 students representing 25 higher education institutions. This prestigious event was held in Gomel, Belarus, from April 9 to 13, organized by the Belarusian State Transport University.
The competition consisted of two stages. In the individual competition, students were presented with 8 problems in theoretical mechanics (statics, kinematics, and dynamics), with half an hour allocated for each problem, totaling 4 hours. In the team brain-ring competition, one hour was allocated to solve 30 problems.
The Turkmen students were guided by their mentors, instructors Gylychgeldiyeva Gyzylgul and Batmanov Jumanazar. It is also noteworthy that the highest results have been achieved for two consecutive years by students from the People’s Republic of China.
The students of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan showcased their knowledge and talents at a prestigious international Olympiad, reaffirming the high level of Turkmenistan’s education system. This achievement is a source of pride not only for the students but also for the entire country.
