30.05.2025

Iran’s trade with the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) reached 36.2 million tons in the 1403 Iranian calendar year, amounting to $27.6 billion, according to the Iranian Customs Administration (IRICA).

  • Imports: Iran imported 8.2 million tons of goods from ECO countries, totaling $13.5 billion.
  • Exports: Iran exported 28 million tons of goods to ECO countries, generating $14.1 billion in revenue.
  • Growth: Iran’s non-oil exports to ECO countries increased by 38.7% in volume and 37.5% in value compared to the previous year.

Iran is implementing several strategies to expand trade with ECO member states:

  • Expanding trade agreements – Signing new deals to create more favorable trade conditions.
  • Improving logistics and transport networks – Accelerating trade flow through improved infrastructure.
  • Boosting non-oil exports – Entering new markets to diversify economic trade.

Iran’s trade with ECO countries has significantly increased over the past year. This growth strengthens regional economic cooperation and supports Iran’s international trade strategy. Future developments are expected to further expand these ties and create new opportunities.
