Sony unveiled the Xperia 1 VII flagship smartphone, equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, promising a 40% boost in CPU, graphics, and neural network performance compared to the previous model.
The smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch OLED display featuring 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a 5000mAh battery that ensures up to two days of operation without recharging.
The main camera of the Xperia 1 VII uses a new Exmor T sensor, supporting equivalent focal lengths of 24mm and 48mm.
Additionally, the ultra-wide-angle module has been improved—now featuring a 48MP camera with an optical format of 1/1.56 inches, which is twice as large as last year’s model. Moreover, the device includes an 85-170mm telephoto lens for high-detail photography.
The smartphone is available in Europe for €1499, featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. Versions with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage will be exclusive to the Asian market.
