Sony is planning to increase the prices of its games, following Microsoft and Nintendo. This was revealed after the company’s latest financial report.
Sony’s Vice President Lin Tao stated that the company might reassess the pricing of its gaming products to offset the impact of high U.S. import tariffs.
Previously, Microsoft confirmed that some of its games would see a price hike up to $80 starting late 2025. Nintendo also announced that its upcoming Switch 2 console would be priced at $450, which is higher than the original model.
Now, Sony appears to be preparing for a similar move to compensate for rising production costs.
It is still unclear how this will affect PlayStation exclusives, but major titles like God of War, The Last of Us, and Horizon are expected to become more expensive. An official statement may be released in the coming months, depending on the situation with tariffs.
