The session highlighted promising prospects for joint initiatives in trade, energy, transportation, industrial zones, and agriculture. Azerbaijan currently hosts 75 Turkmen-capital companies operating across various sectors. The country’s robust energy infrastructure positions it as a strong partner in developing energy cooperation.

Transit cargo volumes between both countries continue to rise steadily, with over 2 million tons recorded last year and 1 million tons in the first half of 2025.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a formal protocol was signed by the commission’s co-chairs, outlining plans to deepen collaboration across economic, trade, transport, energy, and agricultural sectors.
