Researchers of Aqua Nautilus have discovered a new linux virus created using artificial intelligence. It was called Koske and is engaged in hidden cryptocurrency mining – from Monero to Ravencoin.
This malicious code is not just written in AI – it, according to experts, even exceeds the quality of ordinary viruses created by people. The virus can analyze the possibilities of an infected computer and launch the most suitable version of the miner out of 18 available.
Inside the code there are characteristic signs of artificial intelligence: detailed automatic comments and a clear, ordered structure.
“If earlier, amateur hackers often wrote a poor-quality, easily detected code, now we see a completely different level-and this scares,” says Assaf Morez from Aqua Nautilus.
