The repair of the heavy atomic cruiser Admiral Nakhimov is completed, and the ship has already set off for testing. This was announced by the head of VTB and chairman of the board of directors of the United Shipbuilding Corporation Andrei Kostin during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin in Severodvinsk.
Kostin noted that in the near future the cruiser can be introduced into the Russian Navy.
The Ministry of Defense stated that after modernization, the cruiser would receive modern weapons, including the Zircon hypersonic missiles and the long -range cruise missiles of Caliber. Earlier, the presidential aid Nikolai Patrushev said that atomic reactors were launched on the ship and he would soon return to operation.
“Admiral Nakhimov” – the ship of the first rank, is part of the Northern Fleet and is considered one of the most powerful cruisers in Russia.
