The Chinese company Haier officially introduced a humanoid homemade robot called Hiva, which he herself calls the “end of the rutin era”.
The novelty is still under development, but is already impressive by the declared opportunities. The robot boasts 165 cm tall, weighing 70 kg and 44 degrees of freedom. He is able to reach both the floor and to objects at an altitude of up to 2 meters.
Hiva moves using a wheelbase, and its manipulators allow you to interact with household appliances and objects in the house.
The images published Haier shows how Hiva uses a washing vacuum cleaner, helps with cooking, interacts with a washing machine, strokes, folds and lays out clothes.

However, the manufacturer admits that all these actions are still performed under the remote control of engineers. This is necessary for teaching a model in real conditions and data accumulation.
The project has become part of a strategic partnership between Haier and the company Xingdong Jiyan, concluded in March 2025. In addition to Hiva, in the framework of AWE 2025, a two-legged Robot assistant “Xiao Sin” for a smart home was also shown.
