In Tomsk, the Summer Summer with Airi was held, in the framework of which young researchers from different regions of Russia presented 28 of their own projects in the field of artificial intelligence. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The organizers of the event were the Institute of Airi and Tomsk State University with the support of Cloud.ru. More than 80 young scientists who worked closely with researchers from research organizations and universities took part in the school.
The first place was taken by the project that aimed at developing methods for analyzing images of pets, which was recognized as the most “socially oriented”. The second and third places were divided by projects dedicated to the study of agents with memory in the context of learning with the reinforcement and restoration of molecules smiles.
Within the framework of the school, works aimed at improving the generalization of the models of voice biometrics, language models, methods of training with reinforcement, multimodal approaches and generative models for parametric data were also presented.
The source notes that over the four years of the Summer with Airi school, more than 2500 applications were submitted for participation from young scientists from all over Russia.
“This year, Tomsk University decided to complicate the criteria for competitive selection and, despite this, received applications from participants from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Tula regions, the republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, Primorsky Territory. This shows that the quality of training of scientific personnel in the country is growing, ”said the General Director of the Airi Institute, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Ivan Oseledetz.
