The service life of the International Space Station (ISS) will probably be extended until 2030. This was announced by the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Bakanov, noting that now Russia and the USA have come to a consensus on the need to operate the station at least 2028.

It is Russia and the United States that make key decisions on the future fate of the orbital complex, since they are the main participants in the project. According to the current agreements, the final decision on the completion of the station can be made only jointly by two parties.

Earlier it became known that in Russia Developed A new robot that will help astronauts at the ISS. It is created by specialists from the Research Institute of Mechanics of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov. The development is designed to perform everyday tasks that usually fall on the crew.
