Microsoft has introduced an accelerator for quick loading of programs from the Office package

31.07.2025

The Windows Latest portal reports that Microsoft announced the function of accelerating the launch of utilities and applications from the Office office package. The function is called Startup Boost, and is already available on some devices with Windows 11.

Startup Boost optimizes the process of downloading Microsoft Office applications, ensuring their faster launch. So far, the new function only works with the Word text editor.

The accelerator uses system resources to increase productivity and reduce program initialization time. The technology is based on the built -in Windows Task Scheduler utility.

By default, the Startup Boost function is activated on all devices with the Windows 11 operating system. To disable, select the “General” – “launch parameters” section in the settings. Functions settings are available at the bottom of the window.

Microsoft clarified that for the correct operation of Startup Boost, the device must have at least 8 GB of RAM and 5 GB of internal memory. The function will also not function with an activated energy saving mode.

According to insiders, Startup Boost will be launched on all devices with Windows 11 until September this year.
